The Sex Complex

Humanity is in deep sh** as a consequence of people's sex appetite that has spiraled out of epidemic proportions. How did it get to this stage where humans have lost total respect for their bodies, engaging in insatiably despicable acts while asking for more? The fever has become a laissez-faire lunacy attacking the sanity of nations, and victims fall like bodies decimated by suicide bombings on any given day in the Middle East. To human beings, sex has become more like a sweet sticky syrup set in place to trap flies, whereby before the day is done, motionless winged cadavers are caught, head, thorax and abdomen buried in the volatile substance. When analysts try to find the end or beginning of the thread in all the sexual complications facing the species, it's like searching for a needle in a haystack.

Sex is not just for pleasure as history has shown in trying to make others know. It is the primary reason for the procreation of people. Isn't that something? That means, it has to be respected, and the result of human carelessness is showing that it is not begging for honor, it is commanding it. Humans must be the only set of animals that is beset by sexually transmitted diseases that interrupt their existence if left untreated.

Everything easily becomes an object of sexual depravity these days. Recently on the Tyra Banks show, a woman was entertained to give her sexual status on how she has been in intimate love with monuments like the Eiffel Tower, a bridge or even a piece of rock! Many would quickly say that she needs psychiatric evaluation, yet without any inhibitions whatsoever, would embrace putting a banana or a dildo in a vagina or a baseball bat in the anus. What are foreign objects doing inside people's private parts? It's just a matter of moving from one stage to the next in trying to locate ultimate 'pleasure' when the novelty wears off the one in motion.

And the poor kids! They are caught in the crossfire in these desperate commotions. Psychodynamic theories among others have stepped aside, giving way to this new wave of a generation in jeopardy. Freud claims that kids have different stages of psychosexual development and should pass through them smoothly if left to metamorphose in a natural ambience. However, with all the conundrums swirling in the air, many parents push sex on to their kids from a very tender age, trying to manually define a clear-cut path for their proteges. The word 'sexy' has become a cliche and even a baby can look sexy depending on what the infant is wearing. Kids are caught admiring each other with comments like 'you look sexy' before they even comprehend the meaning of the corruptible slang. In a Jamaican newspaper, a seven-year-old female primary student was found giving oral sex to a boy of a similar age. Not surprising! They see that on TV everyday. An acquaintance once said he would give his room to his sixteen-year-old son to have sex, but not his daughter, according to the father of two as he went on to differentiate. Speaking about preferential treatment! Sharing planet with a guy like this thirty-two-year-old dad is pretty scary, for all intent and purposes.
